Blog Make-Over . . . . .

My blog has had a full make over and a name change!!! . .  Do you like it ? I just decided this morning that I was getting a bit bored with the old style (now that I have been blogging all of 6 months . . lol) and fancied a bit of an upgrade. As I am by no means 'techy minded' it has taken the best part of 2 hours just to get to this point  . . . . .lol x  Im happy so far, but there are still a few bits and bobs I would like to change but my brain has gone into total lock-down with all the HTML jargon. So for now . . . this is the new look!

Sunshine, Migraine and Graduation

Well its been a while since I last 'blogged' and there are many reasons for my absense from Blogland. First the sun has been shining . .  not just a little but a lot! Hot temperatures, bright blue skys and warm evening breezes all add up to me being outside. We have enjoyed some wonderful days at the beach, picnics, BBQ's and the company of friends. And on top of that the World Cup is on TV so yours truly is parked up on the sofa taking in the action.

This week started off on a not so good level for me - I spent two days in bed with a migraine to beat all migraines. I just had to curl up and wait for it to pass while drinking loads of water and going to the pee every 5 minutes. Yesterday morning things were a bit better and although I was feeling a little bit tender I had to put on a happy face to attend Amy & Tony's Leavers Mass. They official left Primary School this morning and were both award a 'Graduation' certificate which was really sweet.

So excited to be heading to the Community School in September . . . .

Jumping for Joy . . . . .

On a crafty note things are very slow . . . . . so slow to the point of non-exsistent this past week or so. My gorgeous June kit arrived from Scrapa Go-Go and I have barely had time to take it out of the box to ooh and ahh over the contents. Well, I suppose as an avid crafter we have to expect that sometimes, just sometimes real life gets in the way and barricades us out of the craft room.

This Little Piggy Went To Market . . . .

This little piggy stayed home,
This little piggy had roast beef,
This little piggy had none,
And this little piggy cried, "Wee! Wee! Wee!"
All the way home.

No, I haven't  gone completely mad . . . I'm just playing along with the Polka Doodles challenge this week which is Nursery Rhymes. Here is my card . . . actually my first from the Back To Nature CD.

On a non-crafting note : We had a visit from the Chernobyl Childrens Aid (North West) last week about our host child who is arriving on June 30th. We found out her name is Masha and she is 11. She is so sweet in her photo that they had done for us. We are really excited now waiting for her to arrive. I will be  documenting her stay with us in a mini-album for her to take home at the end of her 3 week stay so I will share some photo's with you all as we go along.

Adornit 10 in 10 Challenge - May

Well I am back from a hectic but wonderful week in England visiting family and friends but am so far behind with 'projects-on-the-go' that the light at the end of the tunnel went out ages ago! So in an effort to get a flicker of light back I sat down today and finished the May challenge for Adornit. The required elements this month were to use 3 photo's, ric - rac and a bird embellishment. My bird is made using my new 2 Step Punch from my Stampin' Up! virtual club which is organised by Monica, and the kraft card stock is also from Stampin' Up! The theme was a special day in May and the boys camping trip immediately sprung to mind. The weather was awful but that did not deter them from trying out the new tent their dad had bought! They headed off and spent the night at Kinnego Bay and throughly enjoyed themselves. The photo's are a little fuzzy as they were taken with a mobile phone but they show what fun the boys had.

I just need to go back now and complete April's challenge as I missed the deadline due to other commitments. So when I've done that I will share my LO with you.

tfl, hugs
