Stamp Scrap & Doodle Sketch

My second post of the day . . . such a productive afternoon, which makes a change! I usually spend time sitting and playing without actually finishing anything lately.

Anyway, this card was made using a sketch from Stamp Scrap & Doodle

As I used a butterfly punch to embellish the lower corner of my card it will also qualify for the challenge at Creative Inspiration this week which was to use die-cuts or punches.

Once again, tfl

Special RAK Event for Jayme . . . .

Today I made this card for a lady called Jayme. As a RAK I am sending this card to her in the hope that it makes her smile. I don't know Jayme at all but felt compelled to make this card for her. There is a special event going on over on Lisa's blog - Stamped Art By Lisa - to bring smiles and cheer to her dear sister who is terminally ill.

This is what Lisa had to say -

"I am having a special event for my sister Jayme. She is in her early 50's and has terminal lung cancer. To make it worse, her sweet dachshund Molly passed away a couple weeks ago. Today we learned her cancer has spread to several other areas and her time is running out. I am asking for all my card making friends to send her a fun card...not really get well cards obviously, but something pretty or funny that will make her smile. She is a frog collector so frog cards would be awesome! I have been blessed by all those I design for to have a wonderful offer of blog candy. Details are below on how to enter. I will choose a winner June 2nd.

Directions to enter:
1. Create a card that is funny and a frog if you have one! (NO get well cards please)
Inside please include a note saying that you are a stamping friend of her sister Lisa's.

2. Mail your card to
Jayme Clevenger
2826 Wilshire
Woodward, OK 73801
USA

3. Post your card on your blog (if you have one) and directly link back to my event here.

4. Enter your direct link below

Please leave a link to your card created and mailed to Jayme.  Thanks for helping me make her smile!
So pass this on and join in if you can.

Just For You . . . .

Well its Thursday already I cant believe its nearly the weekend again. This week has just been flying on by!  I have been better organised this week and have not spent so much time on the computer hence the house actually looks tidy for the moment and I have been crafting instead of 'surfing'.

This card I made at the beginning of the week - 'Just For You' - using a sketch from The Pink Elephant Challenge.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

First Holy Communion Card - Photo Heavy Post

Apologies for the photo heavy post but I just love the way this turned out so I took lots of photo's. My friends daughter is to take her First Holy Communion later on this morning and this is a card I made for her. I love easel cards at the moment so it was a must for this occasion along with a little play on my Craft Robo.

And finally . . .  neatly packed away in presentation box

Have a great weekend & tfl x

Console Face

Lately I have spent so much time surfing various blogs and forums that I am getting no time to actually produce anything 'scrap' wise so I have made a mental note to self that I must restrict the amount of time I sit at the computer. Its so difficult though, because I find so many inspiring blogs and websites that its all too easy to jump from one to another, to another and so on and before you know it a couple of hours have gone! So I am going to try to be self disciplined about my online time in comparison to my 'productive' time.

On the subject of productivity . . . .  this is my latest LO which I have completed for a challenge on SB.com. Its a monochrome challenge throughout May with the theme for week one being BLUE.  This was actually more challenging than I had imagined.

Well, if the self discipline works out I should have something more to share very soon!

Craft Room Pics

Finally managed to sort out some up to date pics of my little piece of paradise - aka My Craft Room! I spend most of my time in here accompanied by a cup of tea and a few fur-babies. Most of my storage came from Ikea, or as I like to call it 'I Want It, I Need It'. They have so much great stuff there and the breakfast in the cafe is pretty good too! I particularly love my display units for my 'Blue Nose Bear' Collection - it keeps them safe from kitty-kat-kapers!

Zac and Murphy got in on this shot, perched happily on the desk watching me take photo's!

Picture Perfect

Not much posting lately as I have been out playing with my camera in the glorious weather we have been having. I am taking part in a couple of photography challenges at the moment which is a great way to get motivated to get out there and use my camera. Im still on a massive learning curve accompanied by my ever growing stash of manuals and self help books but loving every minute of it. So I thought I would share a few of my favs so far:

This is Bailey, one of my 6 fur-babies. He is such a cutie and full of mischief. I love the way this portrait turned out, especially his whiskers . He sat looking straight at me for sometime - a purr-fect professional model.

These two were taken at Kinnego Bay. A beautiful beach just a short drive away from my home.

And finally one from Malin Head. I love taking photo's up there.
This photo was short-listed in the April comp on UKScrappers.
