The Loch House Layouts!!!!!

A weekend away with fellow scrappers is the ideal time to get creative is it not ?  So you would think that by the end of a long weekend crafting that I would have loads of layouts to share right ? WRONG!

Too much chatting, munching, sipping and laughing resulted in the completion of just 5 scrappy pages and none of which are particular intricate. There was no fussy cutting, no master piece featuring lots of layering and no arty effects which would justify the time they took to put together. Oh no, simple sweet layouts is all they are but I had an absolute blast with the girls and thats what the retreat weekends are really about for me.

So here we go!  My five creations from a fabulous weekend at Loch House with the girls:

This first one is my entry to the Scrap-A-Sketch group for April.

Thoroughly Modern Miss
Amy sitting in the craft room as close to the halogen heater as she could get and of course she was sharing the space with a few kitties!  While I was working away on the computer I glanced down to see her using her Ipod at the same time she was chatting to someone on FB using her Netbook with her mobile phone perched on the scratch post beside as she was waiting for a text message from a friend.  Is this the life of a modern miss ?  I'm sure this scene is played out with many a teenager these days . . lol

And finally, a last minute layout done on the Monday morning before we had to pack up our stash and head for home. This was for the weekly challenge posted on UKS that morning . .

Thanks to Heather for the use of her ‘hinge’ die which was perfect to allow me to create the flap to store my other photo on the reverse side.

Have I mentioned already that I had an absolute blast that weekend ?  . . lol xx

  1. Beautiful pages - and nothing ordinary about them, they are beautiful and far more intricate than I would have done. I should imagine that a weekend crop would be mostly for chatting and catching up with the layouts being a bonus.
